Kudos to our athletes! Michael Phelps and the Men's Volleyball team. How awesome are they?!
What stuck with me the most this Olympics is the hostile atmosphere. Yes, China is a political hotbed. Yes, we are living in a world where we don't all get along. The Olympics are supposed to be a time to put that aside and let our athletes shine. However, the hostility filtered down to the athletes.
I couldn't believe watching on the news when the Swedish wrestler threw his medal down because he didn't place first. Or the Cuban taekwondo contender who kicked the referee in the face.
Where's the honor? Where's the sportsmanlike conduct? Where's the pride in competing for your country?
Its gone the way of the world. Think about that.
